The thought of Berrak
In Turkish culture, what is commonly referred to as "belly dance" has a different name: oyunhavasi, which literally means "air play" is a type of music lively, the pace of which people dance for fun.
In my lectures as well as in my performances, I try to convey this playful relationship between dance and Turkish music.
For me, belly dancing and outside of the female. A transformation of women, particularly sexual energy, in an expression of interaction with music. E 'transposition of the music on the go. And 'every woman's personal harmony. It 'a style of dance that allows you to join, in a poetic way, your inner world with the outer one. Of course there are many ways to achieve this: contemporary dance, for example, is one of them. However, the choice to remain within the traditional aesthetics of the dance gives a historical erappresenta a connection with a certain code of movement that can be renewed from time to time according to a contemporary approach. In a sense, this style is a key, a common value shared between dancer and audience, or simply among people who dance together to celebrate.
